Signs of Insufficient Warmth for Hornwort
Symptoms
Hornwort tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while winter might show no immediate effects, spring could see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
Once spring arrives, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Excessive Heat in Hornwort
Symptoms
In summer, Hornwort should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sun-damaged and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
