Signs of Cold Stress in Cypress-like sedge
Symptoms
Cypress-like sedge tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Cypress-like sedge
Symptoms
In summer, Cypress-like sedge should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe cases, the whole plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
