Breadfruit tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally between 77℉ and 86℉. In colder months, maintain temperatures above 68℉. Below 55℉, foliage may darken. Extreme cold can lead to water-soaked tissue death, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of leaves.
Solutions
Remove sections damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When indoors, position it near a south-facing window for adequate light. If natural light is insufficient, provide artificial illumination.

Symptoms
In summer, Breadfruit should be maintained below 86℉. Temperatures above 95℉ impede growth, lighten leaf color, and increase susceptibility to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched or desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
