Signs of Cold Stress in Horseradish
Symptoms
Horseradish tolerates cold well and grows optimally above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Horseradish
Symptoms
In summer, Horseradish should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures exceed 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
