Signs of Cold Stress in Harelock
Symptoms
Harelock tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, a reduction or complete absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Harelock
Symptoms
In summer, Harelock should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, tend to curl, become vulnerable to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
