Signs of Cold Stress in Cape-pondweed
Symptoms
Cape-pondweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.

Symptoms
During summer, Cape-pondweed should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
