Signs of Cold Stress in Baneberry
Symptoms
Baneberry tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 59℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 41℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Baneberry
Symptoms
In summer, Baneberry should be maintained below 68℉. When temperatures surpass 77℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, suffer sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
