Signs of Cold Stress in Coastal wattle
Symptoms
Coastal wattle thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It grows optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 41℉, foliage may lose its vibrant color. Following frost exposure, leaves progressively turn brown or black, and the plant may show signs of wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm area for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Coastal wattle
Symptoms
In summer, Coastal wattle should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaves will lighten in hue, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
