Signs of Cold Stress in Louisiana Vetch
Symptoms
Louisiana Vetch favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, foliage may lose some color. Following frost damage, the hue progressively shifts to brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring plenty of light. Furthermore, avoid positioning the plant near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Louisiana Vetch
Symptoms
In summer, Louisiana Vetch should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the leaves' color fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Move the plant to an area that offers shade from the sun during midday and afternoon. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
