Signs of Cold Stress in Sea campion
Symptoms
Sea campion tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 32℉. If temperatures drop below 20℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Sea campion
Symptoms
In summer, Sea campion should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
