Signs of Cold Stress in Cabbage rose
Symptoms
Cabbage rose tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth emerging.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Cabbage rose
Symptoms
During summer, Cabbage rose should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, the plant's leaves may lighten in hue, tips might dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
