Signs of Cold Stress in Indian poke
Symptoms
Indian poke tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Indian poke
Symptoms
During summer, Indian poke should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant may wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sun-damaged and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
