Signs of Low Temperature in Chinese ginseng
Symptoms
Chinese ginseng tolerates cold well, but winter temperatures must stay above 32℉. If temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be seen in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperature in Chinese ginseng
Symptoms
Chinese ginseng does not handle heat well. When temperatures go above 75℉, its development ceases, and it becomes more prone to decay.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
