Signs of Heat Stress in Aztec tobacco
Symptoms
In summer, Aztec tobacco should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the plant may wilt and dry out completely.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil hydrated.
