Signs of Cold Stress in Common motherwort

Common motherwort tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might be unnoticeable, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.

Symptoms
In summer, Common motherwort should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the plant may wilt and dry out entirely.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or provide shade with a cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
