Torrey's rush tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 32℉. If the temperature drops below 20℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

Symptoms
In summer, Torrey's rush should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
