Signs of Cold Stress in Tropical fimbry
Symptoms
Tropical fimbry tolerates cool temperatures moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. Throughout winter, it needs to be maintained above 59℉. Should the temperature drop below 50℉, its foliage might begin to sag. Minor instances allow for recovery, but severe cases lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and erect a windbreak to shield it from cold drafts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Tropical fimbry
Symptoms
In summer, Tropical fimbry should be kept below 86℉. When temperatures rise above 95℉, the leaves' color fades, leaf tips might dry and shrivel, leaves may curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth to provide cover. Water the plant during morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
