Signs of Cold Stress in Pink Sundew
Symptoms
Pink Sundew tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally between 70℉ and 80℉. In winter, temperatures should remain above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, foliage may darken. Extreme cold can lead to water-soaked tissue death, wilting, drooping, and a gradual browning of the leaves.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When indoors, position it near a south-facing window for sufficient light. If natural light is inadequate, provide artificial illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Pink Sundew
Symptoms
In summer, Pink Sundew should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, plant development slows, leaf coloration fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
