Signs of Cold Temperatures in Stiff tickseed
Symptoms
Stiff tickseed tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If temperatures drop below 45℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of High Temperatures in Stiff tickseed
Symptoms
In summer, Stiff tickseed should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
