Signs of Cold Stress in Citron
Symptoms
Citron tolerates cold moderately, flourishing optimally between 60℉ and 85℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 40℉, foliage may darken. Severe cases show water-soaked necrosis, wilting, drooping, and leaves turning brown.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to warmth or construct a temporary greenhouse for cold defense. Indoors, position near a south-facing window for ample light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is inadequate.
Signs of Heat Stress in Citron
Symptoms
In summer, Citron needs temperatures below 85℉. Above 95℉, growth slows, leaves lighten, and sunburn risk increases.
Solutions
Prune off sun-scorched and desiccated areas. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the afternoon sun. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
