Signs of Cold Temperatures in Fringed sedge
Symptoms
Fringed sedge tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Fringed sedge
Symptoms
In summer, Fringed sedge should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, suffer from sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
