Signs of Cold Stress in Spanish needles
Symptoms
Spanish needles tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 70℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might be subtle, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Spanish needles
Symptoms
In summer, Spanish needles should be maintained below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, plant leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
