Signs of Cold Stress in Vasey's grass
Symptoms
Vasey's grass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 59℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might be unnoticeable, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Vasey's grass
Symptoms
In summer, Vasey's grass should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, its leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering midday and afternoon shade, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
