Signs of Cold Temperatures in Witchgrass
Symptoms
Witchgrass tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
Remove any unsprouted sections in spring.
Signs of High Temperatures in Witchgrass
Symptoms
In summer, Witchgrass should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, plant leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
