Signs of Cold Stress in Bird's-eye cress
Symptoms
Bird's-eye cress tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring germination could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not germinated.
Signs of Heat Stress in Bird's-eye cress
Symptoms
During summer, Bird's-eye cress should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage may lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant might wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to ensure soil moisture.
