Signs of Cold Stress in Singapore holly
Symptoms
Singapore holly thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It grows best when temperatures are above 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, leaves might lose their vibrant color. After frost, they slowly turn brown or black, and the plant may wilt and droop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm area for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Also, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Singapore holly
Symptoms
In summer, Singapore holly should be kept below 80℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, leaves lighten in color, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Move the plant to a spot that offers protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
