Signs of Cold Temperatures in Virginia pepperweed

Virginia pepperweed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.

Symptoms
During summer, Virginia pepperweed should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
