Signs of Cold Stress in Waterthyme
Symptoms
Waterthyme tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 75℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 68℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Waterthyme
Symptoms
In summer, Waterthyme should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
