Signs of Cold Stress in Quack grass
Symptoms
Quack grass tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 59℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 41℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Quack grass
Symptoms
In summer, Quack grass should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
