Signs of Cold Stress in Whorled Milkweed
Symptoms
Whorled Milkweed tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, temperatures should remain above 40℉. If temperatures drop below 20℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.

Symptoms
During summer, Whorled Milkweed should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage may lighten, curl, become susceptible to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the entire plant might wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
