Signs of Cold Stress in Madeira-vine
Symptoms
Madeira-vine thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. It grows optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 32℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, leaves progressively brown or blacken, and wilting or drooping may appear.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent air from becoming too dry.
Signs of Heat Stress in Madeira-vine
Symptoms
In summer, Madeira-vine should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaves lighten in hue, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
