Signs of Low Temperature in Alligatorweed

Alligatorweed tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, sprouting could be reduced or absent in spring.

In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.

Symptoms
In summer, Alligatorweed should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
