Signs of Cold Stress in Swallow wort
Symptoms
Swallow wort tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Swallow wort
Symptoms
During summer, Swallow wort should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the entire plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
