Signs of Cold Stress in Bee-bee tree
Symptoms
Bee-bee tree tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 45℉. If temperatures drop below 20℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become fragile and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
During spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Bee-bee tree
Symptoms
In summer, Bee-bee tree should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove the sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
