Signs of Cold Stress in Peace lily
Symptoms
Peace lily favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it should be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, foliage may lose some color. Following frost exposure, leaves progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Peace lily
Symptoms
In summer, Peace lily should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, the leaves' hue lightens, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Hydrate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
