Signs of Cold Temperatures in Alpine rose
Symptoms
Alpine rose tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might be unnoticeable, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Alpine rose
Symptoms
In summer, Alpine rose should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tips may dry and wither, and it becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
