Signs of Cold Stress in Guava
Symptoms
Guava thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 32℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, they progressively turn brown or black, exhibiting wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Avoid placing near heating or AC vents to prevent air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Guava
Symptoms
In summer, Guava should remain below 86℉. Above 95℉, leaves lighten and the plant becomes prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune sunburned and desiccated areas. Move the plant to a spot shaded from intense midday and afternoon sun. Water in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
