Velvet plant favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, its leaves might lose some color. Following frost damage, the foliage progressively turns brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping may appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it close to heaters or air conditioning vents to prevent overly dry air.

Symptoms
In summer, Velvet plant should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures go above 80℉, the leaves' color fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
