Signs of Cold Stress in Common corn-flag
Symptoms
Common corn-flag tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Common corn-flag
Symptoms
In summer, Common corn-flag should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten in color, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
