Signs of Cold Stress in Grecian foxglove
Symptoms
Grecian foxglove tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Grecian foxglove
Symptoms
In summer, Grecian foxglove should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 75℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
