Signs of Cold Stress in Chinese cymbidium
Symptoms
Chinese cymbidium tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, foliage may begin to sag. Minor cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and erect a windbreak to shield it from chilly gusts.

Symptoms
In summer, Chinese cymbidium should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, leaves lighten in color, tips may dry and shrivel, foliage might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any sunburned and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
