Signs of Cold Stress in Bear's paw
Symptoms
Bear's paw does not tolerate very low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when temperatures range from 60℉ to 75℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 45℉, its leaves will show water-soaked tissue death and drooping. For minor frost damage, initial signs might be absent, but within a week, leaves will severely droop and eventually detach.
Solutions
Prune away any parts affected by frost. Immediately relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for thermal insulation. If moved indoors, position it near a south-facing window for sufficient light. If using a makeshift greenhouse, ensure good air circulation to prevent plant deterioration from stagnant air.

Symptoms
In summer, Bear's paw should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant will enter dormancy and is more susceptible to rot in humid conditions.
Solutions
Remove any dried or decayed sections. Relocate the plant to a spot with partial shade, shielding it from direct sun exposure during midday and afternoon. Cease watering the plant until cooler weather returns.
