Signs of Cold Stress in Cock's comb
Symptoms
Cock's comb tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures exceed 70℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 65℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might be subtle, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Cock's comb
Symptoms
In summer, Cock's comb should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated parts. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
