Signs of Cold Stress in Slough Sedge
Symptoms
Slough Sedge tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 40℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while immediate winter damage might not be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.

In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.

Symptoms
In summer, Slough Sedge should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the entire plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area protected from intense midday and afternoon sun, or provide shade with a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
