Signs of Cold Stress in Erect brome
Symptoms
Erect brome exhibits exceptional cold hardiness, yet winter temperatures must remain above 32℉. Should temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, a reduction or complete absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
During spring, remove any sections that have not successfully sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Erect brome
Symptoms
Erect brome does not fare well in high heat. When temperatures surpass 75℉, its development ceases, and it becomes more prone to decay.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are scorched by the sun and dried out. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
