Olive brittlegill

Russula olivacea

A species of Russulas.

The mushroom's pileus starts convex in its youth but quickly flattens out, initially presenting a yellowish-olive hue that matures into a rusty brown, and can reach up to 15 cm across. Its lamellae are creamy, transitioning to a deep ochre with age, fairly dense, and somewhat fragile. The spores are yellow. The stipe is robust and uniformly thick, frequently exhibiting a pale pink shade. The internal tissue is firm, white, odorless, and possesses a gentle flavor.
