Bearded seamine
Ripartites tricholoma
A species of Ripartites.
This fungal species bears a resemblance to a Clitocybe, yet its spore print is a pale brown rather than white. When it's young, the edge of its cap features prickly hairs that soon vanish. The cap itself is convex and whitish, growing up to 7 cm across (though different sources provide varying size ranges). Its gills are an off-white color and extend slightly down the brownish stem, which, when fresh, displays a white powdery coating or pruina. The taste of its flesh is mild, and it lacks a distinct odor. Its spores are roughly spherical, warty in texture, and measure approximately 5 µm by 4 µm.
