Pelargonium bonnet

Mycena septentrionalis

A species of Bonnets.

The Pelargonium bonnet, a tiny and fragile mushroom, often grows in groups on rotting timber. It's identifiable by its thin, light-colored stalks and bell-shaped tops, which vary in shade from a pale gray to brownish. This fungus prefers cool, moist habitats and disperses its spores from the lamellae located on the underside of its cap.
