Signs of Cold Stress in Jujube
Symptoms
Jujube tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 77℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 59℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry in spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Jujube
Symptoms
During summer, Jujube should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
