Signs of Cold Stress in Marsh violet
Symptoms
Marsh violet tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 41℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Marsh violet
Symptoms
In summer, Marsh violet should be kept below 68℉. When temperatures surpass 77℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
